One December 6th, Admirals Cove Foundation and Club members gathered in the spirit of giving and sharing to grant an early Christmas wish to a brave young neighbor battling cancer. Palm Beach County resident Emma LaPaglia, 7, and mother Ashley were presented a check for $9,200 from the Admirals Cove Foundation (ACF) to the Kids Cancer Foundation and Season to Share, helping to offset the LaPaglia family’s financial struggles.
Emma is facing a two-and-a-half year uphill battle fighting Pre-B Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia – while Ashley continues to care for her two younger daughters and provide a roof over her young family’s head. The generous donation from the ACF Board of Directors to newly-single mother Ashley will ensure a safe and reliable home for all. Through the Palm Beach Post’s “Season to Share” and Kids Cancer Foundation initiative, the LaPaglia family can focus on Emma’s fight – knowing their new apartment is secured through the necessary deposits, first payment, utilities and more. The resident elves at Admirals Cove even heard about this brave family, immediately committing to a family gift drive just in time for Christmas.
